IOC EVALUATION COMMISSION VISIT TO MOSCOW 14-17 MARCH 2005

Moscow 2012 Bid Committee members will be available upon request for one-to-one interviews during the week. Kindly indicate if you are interested in interview opportunities and we will be in contact to arrange suitable times.

 

There will be a Press Centre at Slavyansky Conference Hall at the National Hotel. The Press Centre will be open 24 hours a day from 10 March to 17 March 2005.

 

Please note it will not be possible to interview members of the IOC Evaluation Commission during their visit. However, they will host a press conference on 17 March where media will be able to ask questions.

 

DAY 1. March 14 2005 (Monday)

 

8.30-8.45 Photo opportunity: Moscow 2012 Bid Committee members greeting IOC Evaluation Commission.


18.00-19.00
Press briefing on presentations to the IOC Evaluation Commission including distribution of films shown to them.

DAY 2. March 15 2005 (Tuesday)

The media will have the opportunity to follow the IOC Evaluation Commission’s tour of proposed Olympic venues.  A briefing on each venue will be provided, as well as photo opportunities including of Evaluation Commission members inspecting the sites.


8.00 Olympic Venue visit:
Bitza, Luzhniki, Olympic Village/MPC/IBC (Departure from National Hotel at 8.00 prompt – expected return 19.00)

Media split into 3 groups for afternoon visits

Group 1 – Visit to Krylatskoye Sports Complex/Rowing and Canoeing Centre/ CSKA Sports Complex


Group 2 – Visit to Tushino Sports Complex/J.A. Samaranch National
Tennis Centre/Dynamo

 

Group 3 – Visit to Klyazma Sailing Centre                             


DAY 3. March 16, 2005 (Wednesday)


10.00-15.00 Visit to Moscow City landmarks (Kremlin, Red Square, St. Basil’s and St. Saviour’s Cathedrals) with Julia Bordovskikh, PR Director of Moscow 2012 Bid Committee (departure from National Hotel)


18.00-19.00 Press briefing on Wednesday’s presentations to the
IOC Evaluation Commission.
